Optimising Workflows for Digital Cinema and TV
Both film & television are rapidly transitioning into the digital realm, with no sign of slowing down.
So it has become increasingly important that key personnel in content creation understand how to plan towards success when embarking on a digital production.
The goal of the course is to help attendees understand digital workflows, and how it can empower them to achieve the results they want, for screens both big and small.

This course is supported for up to 90% subsidy under the IMDA Talent Assistance Scheme
In addition media freelancers can apply for a S$ 7.50 per hour training allowance.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Producers, Directors, Line Producers, Editors, Post-Production Supervisors & staff, Visual Effects Supervisors & staff, Directors of Photography, decision-makers in film & television. This short course is not designed to be overly technical. The objective is to give key decision-makers enough knowledge to make good choices in planning, way before the first frame is ever shot or edited.

About the Instructor
Ian Wee Woon Hui has had a lifelong fascination with the moving image. From as young as 14 he was already experimenting with digital film making. He graduated with a Merit Diploma in Film, Sound & Video from the School of Film and Media Studies (Ngee Ann Polytechnic) .
He has directed documentaries for Discovery Channel,National Geographic ,Channel News Asia and Arts Central.
He was a first mover in the field of HD,directing one of the first multicamera HD shoots in Singapore for the F1 Powerboat Grad Prix is now a first mover in the field of Stereoscopic 3D film making. With the help of the Media Development Authority ,Ian attended specialised Stereoscopic 3D courses in Germany. This gave them an an opportunity to work with leading stereographers and stereoscopic 3D equipment manufacturers.
Ian is an Apple certified instructor for both FCP X and FCP 7 and is also an Adobe Premiere Certified instructor . He has conducted training for production and post production tools for many organisations including HBO,Fox Sports,Sony Singapore,Panasonic ,Tisch NYU School of Film and many others. He also teaches the popular Introduction to Colour Grading course at AV8 Media
Ian also designs production and post production workflows,where his keen understanding of new and emerging broadcast technologies as well as his industry experience serve him well
